
Anthony Upshire
1958-11-16 2011-05-03 Brother Anthony Upshire (a.k.a Tony) was born in Chicago, IL, November 16, 1958 to Lucius Upshire (Deceased) and Margaret Moore Upshire. Tony was the oldest of four children. In 1981 he entered into Holy matrimony with
Cathy Mulligan and to that union three children, who were the light of his life, were born.
Tony graduated from Fenger High School on the southside of Chicago and later attended Loop Junior College. He was a wonderful provider for his family working for the U.S. Postal Service and later as an information Technology professional at IBM.
Tony expressed his love for the Lord early in life. He was baptized and received the Holy Spirit while attending the Apostolic Little Rock Church where Bishop Alonzo W. Moyer (Deceased) was pastor. Tony later served as a faithful member of the Greater Grace Refuge Church in Harvey, IL where Elder David Beaver was pastor. In 1992 he moved his membership to the Apostolic Faith Church where Bishop Horace E. Smith, MD is pastor. He served there faithfully as a member of the Security team until he relocated to Stockbridge, GA in February 2008.
Tony answered his call from labor to reward on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He leaves cherish memories to his three children, Andre Anthony, Quintin Sinclair, and Aja Zsanelle. His loving mother, Margaret Upshire, three siblings, Michael Upshire (Victoria) Orlando, FL, Pamela White (Joseph) Orlando, FL and Veronica Upshire of Chicago, IL. He also leaves cherished memories to a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews (he shared a special relationship with his nephew Steven Lott who affectionally referred to him as "Uncle T") and other relatives and friends.
